The Portuguese Festival – this weekend in Ptown!This weekend in Provincetown from Thursday, June 23rd, through Sunday, June 26th will be the annual Provincetown Portuguese Festival. The festival began in 1947 as the Blessing of the Fishing Fleet, a commemoration to the patron of the town, St. Peter, and has now expanded into a four-day long celebration. The festival will encompass numerous daylong activities throughout Provincetown highlighting the areas Portuguese heritage. Such activities will include dinners, dancing, live music, Portuguese food tastings, and various proceedings geared specifically towards children. Come by and experience the vibrant Portuguese culture. Commercial Street will be draped in brightly colored flags and the roads bustling with performers, and many others, in traditional Portuguese attire. You won’t want to miss this fun filled weekend!
