The 7th Annual Provincetown Jazz Festival is here!
August 12th, 13th, and 15th mark the dates for the 7th annual Provincetown Jazz Festival.
The celebrations begin on Friday, August 12th, and 8:00pm at the Provincetown Town Hall. The opening act will be Adrienne & Josh Hindmarsh. These talented musicians are originally from New Zealand, and will be making their Provincetown debut with Adrienne on the organ and vocals, and Josh on the guitar. The next act of the night will be String of Pearls, a female vocal group specializing in everything from 1960’s girl group sounds to original arrangements with a Brazilian flair. This group features the vocal talents of Holli Ross, Sue Halloran and Jeanne O’Connor.
Saturday’s performances include jazz vocalist Dane Vannatter accompanied by Fred Boyle, Laird Boles and Bart Weisman. The music continues with Stage Door Canteen, a 14-piece big band that has gained popularity throughout the East Coast as well as in Dublin, Ireland.
The Provincetown Jazz Festival concludes on Monday, August 15 with Cape Cod native Bruce Abbott displaying his wide range of musical ability on both the sax and flute. Holli Ross, vocalist from String of Pearls, will succeed Bruce Abbot and display her individual talents. An encore performance from Dane Vannatter will bring the 7th Annual Provincetown Jazz Festival to a close.
